There were 100 Editors and editorial board members from selected 55 Thai journals attended the seminar. The seminar aimed to improve Thai research productivity and performance via quality development of certain Thai journals for possible inclusion in the Scopus within minimum timeframe. The target of the project is to include 20 top quality Thai and ASEAN journals that are currently indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) in the Scopus database by the end of this year (2017) and another 20 journals at the end of 2019 via a series of trainings and editor workshops. Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, Head of the TCI, informed the participants about the history of the project, the development plan, the preparation processes and the Scopus journal selection criteria. The participants gained better understanding and more knowledge about the criteria which they could improve their journal quality accordingly.
